The Christian doctrine of baptism is not into water but into the body of Christ. Baptism in the Greek is (baptisma) which refers to the baptism instituted by Jesus. We as Jesus followers have often been told that we must be baptized by immersion into water or if you’re ill you can simply be sprinkled by water. On the contrary, Jesus ended the water baptism when the Holy Spirit came on the scene. Like all things, just because a new institution was passed doesn’t mean people still didn’t get baptized with water. They had to be taught first and that teacher was Apostle Paul under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 4:5) says One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism. Paul is writing to say that Jesus is Lord and the only Lord, the christian doctrine is the only doctrine where only faith is needed and no good works to become righteous through Christ Jesus, and there is only one baptism needed and that’s with the Holy Spirit. The Jews were to be baptized for the remission of their sins and John the Baptist came to baptize with water but Jesus said you will be baptized with the Holy Ghost (Acts 1:5). For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be Bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:13). As you can see, by one Spirit, (which is the Holy Spirit), are we baptized into one body (Christ). The water baptism doesn’t save you, only being baptized into Jesus body saves you. Being baptized into Christ is simple: Believe with your whole heart that Jesus was sent by the Father, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, was crucified then died, put in a grave and on the 3rd day morning was resurrected and is seated on the right hand of the Father. Allow Jesus to be Lord of your life and you will be saved and upon your belief in Jesus, you will be baptized by Jesus with the Holy Spirit. I tell all that being baptized is necessary to live with Jesus, but not by water, only by the Holy Spirit. Christian baptism is only with the Spirit. Baptism by a preacher in the form of salvation or rededicating your life to Christ is meaningless with water. Typically, parents like to dedicate their child to the Lord in the form of a pre baptism but no child is baptized with Christ until they have heard and believed the good news of Jesus Christ. A water baptism only makes you wet; it doesn’t change nor save you. Only being baptized into the Lord’s body with the Spirit can change you. Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death (Romans 6:3). This is once again letting us know that we are to be baptized into the body of Christ. Before Jesus started baptizing believers with the Holy Spirit, baptism was used as a cleansing for the remission of sins. Now that Jesus’ blood has cleansed us, we no longer need a water baptism. For as many of you have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ (Galatians 3:27). Often times we hear once you are baptized, you’re saved but actually, using that phrase in the common understanding is incorrect. Water baptism was never a form of salvation for Christians. Churches today have misinterpreted Holy Scriptures and I myself have believed them until now when the Holy Spirit actually taught me otherwise. A lot of churches say water baptism is necessary for salvation but in the same sentence say, not being baptized doesn’t mean you won’t be saved. I’m here with all authority from the Lord and he says, become a follower and learner of him and be baptized into his body upon your belief in his redeeming work. Pray, meditate, and study the Holy Scriptures for yourself through the Holy Spirit guidance. I am not a heretic, I know some will disregard this teaching as satanic but I don’t mind rejection but I do want all to be informed. Be blessed.
