“NOAH’S ARK HAD 7 SETS OF CLEAN ANIMALS AND 1 SET OF UNCLEAN???“
Genesis 7:2-3
GOD is now telling Noah to gather and bring all animals and fowl into the ark that he has built. GOD was so specific with his detailing of this ark and safety during this flood that he gave exact instructions. GOD said “v.2) Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts and that are not clean by two, the male and his female. v.3) Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.
Often times, we tend to stop reading and meditating at Ch.6 but Ch.7 is rich in information as well. Some theologians say the 7’s were for food for the animals and sacrifice for humans but I don’t know this to be factual. The 1 set of male and female unclean animals were for repopulating the earth. It’s been taught for generations by a lot of teachers with the number 7 left out. Often it’s taught that there was only 1 set; male and female of all the animals, but there were more. Be mindful to read the entire story for yourself and not what is accented. Trust GOD, and not man. JESUS is the only way.
